PRESS RELEASE ON NFTCL DEMONSTRATION ON 20-05-17 AT ALL THE DISTRICT HEADQUARTERS OF TAMILNADU:
The State Executive Meeting of Tamilnadu NFTCL held in Tirunelveli on 28-04-17 decided to organise two phase agitation to highlight the demands of Telecom Contract Labourers. Accordingly in Chennai Telephones area at 3 centres the Demonstrations will be held on 20-05-17 (Saturday).1. At CGM'S Office Com. K. Asokraj ( Vice-President of the CHQ) will address the Demonstration apart from other local leaders. Both North and South Chennai District Unions of NFTCL should take part in it.
2. At DGM'S Office in Chromepet (Telephone exchange compound) Com. E.Sampath, State Treasurer will address the Demonstration apart from other local leaders. Kanchipuram District Union of NFTCL should take part in it.
3. At DGM'S office in Ambattur (Telephone exchange compound) Com. V.Babu, State President will address the Demonstration apart from other local leaders. Thiruvallur District Union of NFTCL should take part in it.
As we consider both NFTCL & NFTE as a double barrel gun in safeguarding the rights of both the regular employees and Contract Labourers NFTE leaders at all levels must extend support to this agitation of the most exploited work force in the Telecom.
The Second Phase of this agitation will be held at the State Capital (Chennai) on 10-06-17. The venue of this Daylong Dharna will be intimated after obtaining the necessary Police Permission.
